Herrera del Duque
Herrera del Duque is a municipality of around 3,500 people. Its three major industries are the service sector, agriculture and construction. The town was likely founded in the Roman period when it was named Lucina. The town would later change hands several times from the Romans to the Visigoths to the Moors and later to the Christians.
History
FanCineGay organized the showing of the lesbian themed movie, Carmen y Lola, in a number of towns in late 2018 and early 2019, including in Almendralejo, Miajadas, Jaraíz de la Vera, Cabeza del Buey, Herrera del Duque and Villanueva de la Serena.
