Herrera del Duque

Herrera del Duque is a municipality of around 3,500 people.  Its three major industries are the  service sector, agriculture and construction.  The town was likely founded in the Roman period when it was named Lucina.  The town would later change hands several times from the Romans to the Visigoths to the Moors and later to the Christians.
