Llera

Llera is a municipality of around 820 people that belongs to the judicial distric of Llerena.  The town began to grow in the late 1200s after a hermitage was built in the area, with a new one later being built on the site of the original in 1779.

Los versos de Safo, a documentary about lesbian in Extremadura, was screened at the Nave Cooperativa on Calle Parque Infantil on 18 June 2019.  The screening was organized by Fundación Triángulo de Badajoz with support from the Diputación de Badajoz.  This was followed by a debate about the movie.
