Zafra

Zafra is a city of around 16,750 people.  Every year, the town holds Feria Internacional Ganadera de Zafra, an important regional livestock fair that draws tens of thousands of visitors to the town.  The town was founded likely founded in the Roman period, reconquered twice by the Christians during the Reconquista period.  During the Spanish conquest of the Americas, 221 residents of the town participated in that action.

History

As part of Orgullo 2019 events, there was an exhibition titled, “If I was Didn’t Exist” that was attended by Fundación Triángulo Extremadura.
