Escurial

Escurial is a municipality with a population around 850 people situated less than two kilometers from Miajadas.  It dates back to the Roman period, and saw its modern population peak around 1842 when it had 2,301 residents.

Mi pueblito bueno is a series of videos produced by Fundación Triángulo Extremadura with funding from Instituto de la Juventud de Extremadura and in collaboration with the Junta de Extremadura.  Two of the women they featured are Raquel Prados and Gloria Tello, who are from Escurial.

Centro Social Integrado, once located at Calle Enrollada, 3, and now permanently closed, was a cultural center in the town. Fundación Triángulo Extremadura held a showing of Mi Pueblito Bueno, a series about the lives of LBT women, on 27 November 2019.
