Navaconcejo

Navaconcejo is a municipality with around 2,000 people. It was granted the title of town by Rey Carlos II on 29 March 1694.

Ayuntamiento de Navaconcejo, located at Avendia de Extremadura, 115, is the local town hall and government offices. The day after Lesbian Visibility Day in April 2020, they promoted the day on their social media platforms.  They promoted Lesbian Visibility Day in 2021 on their social media, but did not organize any official acts in honor of the day. In August 2020 and August 2021, they encouraged residents and businesses to put up a sign by Extremadura Entiende that strove to make LBT women in the area more visible and welcomed.

Calle Carolina Coronado is a street in the town named after Carolina Coronado, one a handful of Spanish Sapphic writers from the 19th Century. She was part of the hermandad lírica. Coronado was widely read at the time but later written out of history because she challenged patriarchal norms of the era.
