
Cantabria is a region known for its natural areas, its mountains and its regional capital, Santander. It is the second smallest region by population. Like other parts of the north, it is not very well connected to the most other parts of the country, and there is no comprehensive of lesbians in the region.

Mazcuerras, sometimes called Luzmela, is a town and municipality with a size of around 55 square kilomaters and a population of around 2,100 people. Before the Romans administered the area, it is believed the blendios, a pre-Roman Cantabrian tribe, lived in the area. The local ecconomy has traditionally centered around cattle farming and the cultivation of flowers. More recently, tourism has begun to play a more important economic role.
