Palos de Moguer

Palos de la Frontera is a barrio with a population of around 27,000 residents.  The layout for the district was done as part of the 1860 Castro Plan that attempted to do an organized expansion of Madrid’s emerging urban areas.  The name for the barrio drew from a metro station originally located there; the metro station has subsequently changed its name, but the barrio name remained the same.
