Chamartín

Originally called Chamartin de la Rosa, the district only became part of the city of Madrid in 1948. It is home to the Chamartín train station, the second largest in the Madrid, and the Cuatro Torres, the tallest skyscrapers in Spain.

Chamartín, officially district number 5, is located north of Centro. Its population of around 144,000 are divided into six barrios, El Viso (51), Prosperidad (52), Ciudad Jardín (53), Hispanoamérica (54), Nueva España (55) and Castilla (56).
