Puente de Vallecas, officially district number 13, is located southeast of Centro. Its population of around 228,000 are located in six barrios, Entrevías (131), San Diego (132), Palomeras Bajas (133), Palomeras Sureste (134), Portazgo (135) and Numancia (136).

Puente de Vallecas is one of the most densely populated in Madrid. It is home to the Rayo Vallecanos football team. Neighborhood associations play a hugely important role in the district, serving a large number of functions including supporting children, youth, social activities, cultural activities, and environmental action.
