The Comarca de Calahorra is located in the east of the region in Rioja Baja. It has a population of around 34,250 people in an area of 246.92 square kilometers spread across five municipalities. The population in the comarca has been increasing steadily since the 1900s, with the biggest increase happening from 2000 to 2010, seeing the population rise from 28,679 to 34,064.
