History

Ayuntamiento de Villamediana celebrated Orgullo in 2020, and marked fifteen years of marriage equality in Spain. In their statement in honor of Orgullo, they said that people still faced rejection and the potential for violence across Spain for being who they were, and that we all needed to continue fighting for equal rights, dignity and respect. Their statement did not mention lesbians or name and specific group, beyond the sex and gender-neutral homosexual.[1]
