Jarandilla de la Vera

Jarandilla de la Vera is a municipality with around 2,800 residents. The town is most famous for Castillo Palacio de los Condes de Oropesa, the location where Rey Carlos I lived before he built the Monasterio de Yuste.

History

In early March 2022, there were no LGTB friendly rooms in shared accommodation for rent on Idealista.

Stay

Residencia V Centenario de la Universidad de Extremadura, located at Av. Joaquín Ruiz Jiménez, S/N, hosted the Jornadas formativas sobre la realidad LGTBI on 28 November 2016. The event was organized by Programa de Atención a las Familias de la Mancomunidad. There were eight items on the program of which only one was specific to any member of the alphabet and that was transgender.

The accommodation is university run, very affordable but expectations should be tempered as it is not typical hotel accommodation but intended for researchers and others involved with the university.
